Pamela DeCoste is a global financial executive with a successful career spanning 40 years. She started her career as a certified public accountant with the firm Arthur Andersen & Co. before transitioning to key leadership roles in the healthcare sector.
DeCoste spent much of her career at Royal Philips (Philips), a large, diversified health and well-being company headquartered in the Netherlands. In 1998, Philips acquired the Seattle-based public company, ATL Ultrasound, Inc., where DeCoste was the chief financial officer. This began a long and impactful career at Philips, where she held various financial executive roles both domestically and internationally, managing multi-billion-dollar business groups and markets, and leading the global internal audit and fraud investigation functions out of the Netherlands.
In her various business and functional roles, DeCoste has a proven track record of managing global financial organizations, driving profitable organic and inorganic growth, and structuring risk-management frameworks. She was also a founding member and chairperson of the Women’s Leadership Council on diversity and inclusion at Philips. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a minor in psychology from The College of Idaho and a master’s degree in taxation from Golden Gate University.
DeCoste retired from Philips in 2018 and is involved in board and advisory work, as well as supporting areas of social importance, such as diversity and inclusion and environmental protection. In addition to serving on the board for Blue Shield of California, she currently serves as a member of the board of trustees and the President’s Council for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and as a member of the board of trustees at The College of Idaho.
