Pharmacist Provider Services

Getting help with your medication needs

Blue Shield of California offers access to our network of pharmacist providers to help you with your medication needs at no additional cost to you. You can find a personal pharmacist to:

  1. Review your medications and answer questions about new medications
  2. Assist with your medication coverage and with lowering your prescription costs
  3. Help you achieve your treatment goals including non-drug therapies

Our network of pharmacist providers includes those who are part of your current health system or medical office, those who are working in pharmacy care centers, and independent practitioners. If we identify a potential medication-related need, one of our pharmacist providers will proactively contact you for a phone visit, and they will work closely with your doctors and in-network preferred pharmacy to coordinate your care.
