Blue Shield offers a variety of PPO and Trio HMO plans designed to fit a range of budgets. Our plans are available for purchase directly through Blue Shield as well as Covered California.

PPO plans

With statewide coverage in all 58 counties, Blue Shield’s PPO plans are designed for those of your clients who are looking for the flexibility of seeing any doctor in one of the largest provider networks in the state. Our Exclusive PPO Network includes both in-person and virtual providers with more than 64,00 doctors, 325 hospitals and nearly 975 urgent care centers.

Trio HMO plans

Our IFP Trio HMO Network includes both in-person and virtual PCPs, covers 28 counties and includes over 350 hospitals, over 6,000 primary care physicians, and nearly 25,000 specialists.
